Our board game Entertainment Central was based on movie theme vocabulary, and 2-6 people could play at once. The object of the game was to move space by space to the Hollywood cut sign. There are five different color cards, red, blue, green, yellow, and pink, the spaces on the board are colored to match the cards and so if you land on a pink space you would pick up a pink card. When you land on a colored square and pick up the correct you read the question on the card and try to answer. If you are unable to answer the question on the card you have to move back 2 spaces. The first person to reach the Hollywood cut sign wins.

In this board game project I think that we all contributed an equal amount, to make it the best as possible.

I colored part of the board and brought in the pieces for the game.

I learned that the process of making a fun, playable board game is actually very challenging. We tried our best to make our board game original and enjoyable for the people who play it. Making the cards with an equal amount of French was challenging at times but using the vocab sheets made it much easier.  

I think the board game is playable; it is fun because in uses French in an entertaining way.

I am happy with how our board game turned out in the end.

 Sicko

 

Sicko is a documentary comparing the benefits of the American health care system, the UK, and Cuba.

In America, if you need health care or medical assistance money is everything. If you don’t have the money that you need to get medical help, then you will most likely be declined service, this film explains that even if it’s a dire situation needing medical attention right away. Though if you do decide that no matter the price you will get help, keep in mind that the cost of getting the help you need could leave you in debt or bankrupt.

On the other hand, in most countries health care is free, such as Canada and France. This is a luxury many people admire, and appreciate. Because of our free health care anybody who needs medical attention can get it.  Though nothing is completely free it is nice to just walk in to the hospital without having to be concerned about the cost. We have free health care in Canada and France because every person who earns an income has to pay taxes, the taxes that are paid through the working people of the country then go towards free health care, and other public areas.

Though to many people this health care system is not all that it seems to be…  In society there are a couple different classes, poor, middle, and rich. Each person in these different classes is taxed due to their income. The poor will be taxed less than the rich, because they make less income. Because of this there are two sides to the health care system. The people who make a larger amount of income may think that it is not fare to have to pay more taxes because of their higher income; they say that the money that they have made they have earned and should not be paying more because some people do not work as hard. Thought the other side of this, is that some people work very hard and earn as much as they can, but they just don’t earn as much as some people do. It really is a matter of opinion, though we are very fortunate to be able to get the help we need whenever we need it.

In America though the price to receive medical attention is expensive there are some up sides to just paying up front. The waiting list is one thing. In America if you need something such as a Ct scan you can get it right away but in Canada you might have to wait a long time until you finally see the Ct machine.   

In this movie it shows you the importance of buying health insurance, even if you travel to the states for only a day. It shows you the un fairness of the medical departments, and the desperate attempts to get help.
This movie was a good veiw on all health care systems and had lots of new infromation to be consitered.

French : le film est le documentaire. un acteur michael moore est le premier rôle et il était sous-titré dans français. J’ai pensé que le film était très bon écrit. Le film était au sujet de santé soins et Je donnerais le film 8.5 sur 10.

  Le film Le Comte de Monte Cristo est un drame 
  le film d'action.
   Le premier rôle est Jim Caviezel ( Edmond Dantes ) et  
le premier rôle féminin Dagmara Dominczyk ( Mercedès Lguanada )
Nous regardé le film sous-titré et VF   version française. 
J’ai pensé que le film était bonne.
J’ai pensé que le scène où….était Edmond est devenu amies avec le Luis
Guzmán ( Jacopo ) était un trés amusant scène. 
Quelques  scènes étaient amuseur pour exemple, quand Richard Harris ( Abbé Faria)           émergé dès le terrain.
Il y avait beaucoup d’action. J’ai bien aimé le film.
